..God so loved the WORLD
What a concept!!

In John 3:16 it says that "For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten son..."   NOT that God so loved THE United States, The rich people, the poor people, the red headed people, the white people..etc.  You get my meaning?

I am sure that you have seen the bumper stickers and signs that say "God Bless America"  Right?  Well, there is nothing wrong with that.. but I put forth this idea that there should be more bumper stickers and more signs that say "GOD BLESSTHE WORLD"  It is my feeling, my daughter's feeling and my husband's feeling that our country is already a "blessed" country.  That is NOT to say that there are not problems here with poverty, crime, racism etc. but that generally, our country is much better off as a whole than most other countries in the world, and we, as Christians should remember that!  The Body of Christ should reach far beyond the boundries of our own country.  The world itself and the people within it should be the body of Christ.  Make sense?

Many astronauts have said that when you are out in space, looking at the world, there are no boundry markers, no country markers, no lines of division.  Just one big, beautiful planet created by God.

Just imagine how our creator (GOD) felt after he had created it and saw that it was good.  I would imagine that He did not plan for man to turn on himself and create boundries and start wars over land because God had created enough abundance for all.

So, what am I getting at?  What can you do as one person?  You can do ALOT!

It starts with building relationships with other people.  Simple.  The only way that we can be the body of Christ and grow, is to develop Christian relationships with other people, one at a time.  Tell others about Christ and what he means to you.  Scary?  Yep, sometimes.  Worth it?  More than you can imagine!  With teens, it can spread like wildfire!  You are the key to everyone's future!  Walls can come down.  Bridges can be built.  Human bridges that will last and last.

So many people are quick to judge others because they are different.  Remember what I said on previous pages?  Jesus said "Love they neighbor."  NOT "Judge thy neighbor."  The key to building a relationship with someone is to not judge them!  That is worth repeating.  The key to building a relationship with someone is to not judge them!

It is what is on the inside that matters!!  You will never know what they are like on the inside if you judge them and don't give them the time to get to know them!  Just because someone is different from you doesn't mean that they don't deserve a chance to be redeemed by Jesus.  Look at the people that Jesus hung out with in the bible!  He hung around with people that society shunned...or disliked.  HE cared about them and their eternal life!  We all should do the same as Jesus.

Think about the people at school that you know..are there some that you haven't talked to for one reason or another.  Is it because they are from a different socioeconomic background?  Do they dress different?  Do they have a different skin color?  Are they "wierd"?  Are you afraid of what your friends might think if you do talk to them?

Question: What do you do when nobody but Jesus is watching you?

Imagine you and that other person you don't usually talk to, alone in a room together..it would be easier to talk to them then, wouldn't it?  See, we are all God's children inside.  We should not be so affected by what infuences us from the OUTSIDE.  We should be more influenced by what Jesus is asking us to do from the inside...our hearts.  Listen to your heart and hear Jesus' voice.

My point is, we can ALL change the World!  One person at a time.  It can start with YOU!  Are you up for the challenge?

God bless you, my friend...and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!!!
