Do you ever feel all alone? Do you feel like no one cares about you? Do you feel misunderstood? or sometimes like you have a big black hole in your heart that nothing can fill? I promise that it could be the best choice you will ever make.
Consider this, Do you talk to Jesus as much as you talk to your girlfriends or your guyfriends? or is he left out in the cold..someone who you just talk to on Sundays in church?
I bet that you didn't know that he wants so badly to be with you to laugh with you, to cry with you, to cheer you in your triumphs and to console you in your heartaches. He actually DIED to be your friend! Did you know that?
This website was created by my 9 y/o daughter, Gracie, and I, because she was finding it difficult to understand how to invite Jesus into her life on an everyday basis, like a best friend. She needed him to be with her at school and the times when I wasn't around her for support and encouragement, especially when she felt alone and scared. She was having a difficult time at night when going to sleep and needed to know that he was with her, holding her and loving her when I wasn't in the room with her.
I know that when I was a teenager, I would have liked to have a closer relationship with Jesus when I was bombarded with all of the drugs, alcohol, gang activity (Yep, they had it back then) sexual pressure and basically everything teens go through. It is our hope that you will find some help and guidance from our experiences and suggestions to bring Jesus into your life and develop a relationship with him as a friend who loves and cares deeply about you.
My daughter and I decided that 10% of any profit we make from this site will go to Christian charity since all we have comes from God so it should go back to God. The more we make, the more the % will go back to God.
Most of us walk around unplugged from Jesus..like a light bulb from a light socket..that we only plug in on Sundays, if that. We miss out on all the blessings that God wants so badly to give to us. Yes, God wants to bless us! We are the ones who limit ourselves on our own blessings! Let me repeat that. We limit ourselves on our own blessings! I will talk more about that in "The Secret" section and how that applies to kids and teens.
Many of us have forgotten how to pray. Why? Many of us were never taught how easy it really is to pray. Prayer is simply talking to God and listening for an answer. Listening for an answer is crucial. Why? Because God has much to say to us.
He doesn't have to speak with a booming voice or through a burning bush. Sometimes he simply speaks softly in a thought in our head or through another person. Yes, God speaks through other people, all the time. We just need to listen. I will talk more about prayer and the different ways you can pray and have some examples of kids and teen prayers in the "How to Pray" section.
Texting is all the craze right now. If you could text Jesus, what would you say to him? Would you tell him about the party you went to last night? Would you tell him about your new boyfriend or your new girlfriend? Would you tell him about your plans for the weekend? or would you be ashamed to share your secrets with him?
Making Jesus your friend, even your best friend, is as easy as making any other person a friend with one huge exception. Jesus will never hurt you, never leave you, never put you down, and always love you unconditionally. Always. In fact, Jesus already knows everything you have ever done and still loves you and already forgives you. You just need to ask for forgiveness. He is just waiting to forgive you. He is waiting with open arms to hold you and love you. No sin is too big for Jesus to forgive..and guess what? He already knows your secrets!
He wants so badly to be your best friend. He already died for your sins. Do you think that you aren't good enough? Do you not go to church? Hey, church is not a palace for saints but rather a hospital for sinners! :) do not be misled!
Did you know that Jesus was a baby, a toddler, a kid, a teenager and a young adult? He went through all of the "stuff" we go through so he can understand much of the emotional turmoil we go through as kids and teens. Bet you didn't think about that, did ya?
Life isn't easy, and Jesus definitely knows that. You can talk to him about it. You can even get angry with him about it. Believe me, he can take it!
For the non-believers visiting this website, God promises that if you seek him with an open heart that you WILL find him.
For the non-believers who visit Christian websites to prove that there is no God, I wonder if you are seeking with an open heart? Sometimes something is true whether you believe it or not. The truth is that Jesus died two thousand years ago for you,yes, without your consent. Why? because he loves you. The thing is, because God made us human beings, he gave us free will. You have the choice to either accept the gift of eternal life or not. That is your choice. No one can make it for you. We are not here to judge you. No Christian should judge you. Our job is only to love you..for who you are. Christians are no better than anyone else. We just choose to believe that Jesus died for our sins and hopefully we choose to act lovingly towards others.
